Thin Line Consulting provides training, program development, grant writing services, policy review, and implementation for organizations in both the public and private sectors.

New offerings include:

Grand research, writing, and maintenance. We have now helped multiple agencies be awarded dozens of DOJ grants, resulting in millions of dollars in grant funding.

Event Booking. Working with exclusive hotels and venues nationwide to provide first responder and military event and room block discounts. This is a ZERO-cost service that results in steep discounts and upgrades.

Originally specializing only in Fire, Police, and EMS agencies, since 2020 we have had the privilege to work with various military, religious, non-profit, healthcare, security, safety, tech, and scholarly organizations.

We continue to specialize in developing effective Peer Support Teams, interactive Resiliency training, and providing Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Certification. It is an honor and privilege to see that our programs have been modeled in multiple agencies across Arizona and the US. Perhaps the greatest honor is having portions of our resiliency practices adopted within the most recent AZDHS paramedic curriculum.

We would love to speak to you! Contact us today for a free consultation, to schedule a training, or to request a service such as grant writing, or event bookings.

Areas of Expertise

Peer Support

Developing effective, proactive, trusted, and First Responder Specific Peer Support teams are the backbone of employee wellness programs. Case studies have proven that peer support teams reduce the effects of PTSD. When implemented properly, Peer Support Teams reduce professional counseling visits, positively impact first responder mental health and even saves on organizational costs. That’s where we come in. Let us help you build your internal team with a proven model.

PTSD Legislation

In addition to advocating for PTSD legislation, Thin Line Consulting has been at the forefront of legislation efforts in Arizona surrounding The Officer Craig Tiger Act (formally HB 2502 and now A.R.S. 38-673). We can assist with best practices, implementing policies and procedures, and help with reporting requirements.

Resiliency

In 2019, a survey was conducted that looked at dozens of fire and medical departments across Arizona, California, and Colorado. The number one need identified by tens of thousands of first responders surveyed was the need for resiliency training. We offer in person training classes, and customized digital training that fits your departmental needs.

Grant Writing

Thin Line Consulting has unrivaled success when it comes to researching, writing, and maintaining grants, specifically those that surround public safety. We have assisted in the award of millions of dollars in DOJ grants over the last 5 years.

Mental Health First Aid

1 in 5 U.S adults will experience a mental illness (nami.org). As first responders we care for these individuals every day, yet our training is often limited when it comes to mental health. Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues. The goal is to identify, understand, and respond. We take this training and make it specific to first responders.

Event Booking

We have learned that the agencies we serve often have special needs for meeting space, training venues, award banquet locations, or travel room blocks. We have partnered with the top names in the hospitality industry and have access to steep discounts for the entities we serve. Due to our unique relationship, we often can negotiate upgrades and special offers.

We have the opportunity to implement positive change within our organizations, to also eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, and therefore we have the responsibility to do so.
